Performance & Handling

The Bronco and Bronco Sport offer different driving experiences, thanks to the available engines. The Bronco, great for uncharted territories, has two available engines that are equipped to handle unknown terrains. The Bronco Sport shares the same engine options as the Ford Escape, giving you a more refined daily driving experience. See the table below for more information.

Exterior Features

The main difference between the Bronco and Bronco Sport is exterior. The Bronco is designed more for off-roading adventures, with three hard and soft top designs, removable doors, and waterproof and easily cleanable marine-grade vinyl upholstery. With these functions, you can configure your Bronco however you’d like, depending on your adventure. The Bronco is available with two doors or four doors.

The Bronco Sport, dubbed by some as the Bronco’s “little brother,” is meant to be a more everyday, user-friendly SUV with permanently attached roof and doors. It has a more refined dynamic exterior design, whereas the Bronco has the classic boxy styling. Don’t fret — you can still enjoy off-road adventures in the Bronco Sport; however, it isn’t designed to handle as the Bronco can. If you’re looking to maximize your off-road experience, choose the Bronco. If you’re content with a sleek SUV and don’t need the add-ons that the Bronco has, pick the Bronco Sport.

Dimensions

The Bronco Sport, as seen in the table below, is smaller than the two- and four-door Bronco models, but not by much. With the naked eye, you won’t be able to see much of a difference in size between the Bronco Sport and Bronco two-door. See the table below to view the dimension specs.
